In 2014 a group of like-minded independent distributors got together and formed Paintsmart Group.
This group of distributors at the time had one common key brand, DeBeer Refinish, which has continued to be the cornerstone paint brand of the members of the group. Forming the group enabled larger volume purchasing and also to develop relationships with key local and global suppliers to market in New Zealand.
The group has obtained a number of key brands and looks to further develop this to be able to offer the market quality ‘value for money’ products. In 2015 the group started an exclusive supply agreement with the Finixa brand which is a range of non-paint products (consumables and equipment) from Belgium. Paintsmart Group members have quickly established Finixa as a recognised quality product range in New Zealand.
As a result of solid growth and developing contacts globally, Paintsmart Group has obtained access to key brands such as Anest Iwata, a globally recognised spray gun and equipment manufacturer. 3D Car Care range is also being marketed by Paintsmart Group, 3D an industry leader in the manufacturing of the highest quality car care products. Paintsmart Group continues to market key industry leading brands such as Finixa, POR products, Anest Iwata, SmartLine, Bulldog, Spectratek, Hempel Marine, and many other quality brands and products.
The members of the group also provide a loyalty rewards program through Smart Trade and Get Genuine programs.
